Nathan is an accomplished and well-respected leader dedicated to the long-term success of our community.
Nathan graduated from the University of Alabama summa cum laude in the spring of 2004 with a degree in investment finance and economics. While at the university he played football from 2000 to 2003 earning Academic All SEC Honors in both 2002 and 2003 and was recognized with the Paul “Bear” Bryant Award his senior year as the university’ s most outstanding student-athlete. Subsequently, Nathan earned an MBA from the University of South Alabama. Upon graduation, he joined the Marines. During his time in the Marines, he deployed to Iraq with 3rd Battalion 6th Marines as a Rifle Platoon Commander and was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal with combat “V” for Valor in recognition of his actions while in combat. Upon receiving an Honorable Discharge as a 1st Lieutenant in 2007, he returned home to Spanish Fort, Alabama to begin a career in real estate.
Nathan founded Bellator Real Estate & Development in 2008, Truland Homes in 2011 and later brought them together under the Battle Plan Capital umbrella in 2012. In 2016 he bought out his other partners and created 68 Ventures. 68 Ventures is the parent company for numerous operating and development entities along the Alabama Gulf Coast and Florida Panhandle. The organization is focused on construction, development, real estate, and related services within the region. Additional business lines under the 68V umbrella include TerraCore Development Services, Limitless by Truland Homes, Crucible Construction, FiveStone Strategic Alliances BCC Waste Solutions, Southeast Plumbing & Leak Detection, Sentinel Title, Trulend Mortgage, Align Insurance Group, Podium Property Management, and Warrior 360. As CEO, he serves as the leader, visionary, and drives the culture for the respective companies.
Nathan is passionate about spending time with his three children, traveling with his wife, leading charitable endeavors, exercising, seeking out different challenges, any form of competition and studying successful people. He concentrates on staying true to his core values of faith, effort, gratitude, honor courage and commitment while striving to live out his personal purpose statement, “To see all I can do with all that I have been given by always going for it, never forgetting who I am in the process and helping everyone I can along my journey to live out a story worth telling. On judgment day my life will have been deemed a success because I will be able to say, ‘I have nothing left. I used everything you gave me.’”
He is an active member of the Southern 7 Chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization and highly engaged in his work with the Cox Family Foundation.
